New York City Workers’ Bill of Rights

New York City employers must provide each employee with a QR code poster by July 1, 2024, and thereafter on their first day of employment. This QR code will direct employees to the City’s new Workers’ Bill of Rights webpage.

Employers are also required to prominently display the QR code poster in a visible and accessible area at the workplace. Additionally, if the employer regularly communicates with employees through an online platform or mobile application, the QR code poster must be made available through those channels as well.

Starting on July 1, 2024, employees can file complaints online if their employer fails to comply with these requirements. Employers may be fined $500 per violation, though the first offense will result in a warning and a request for corrective action.
